On September 18, 2025, La Casa del Habano – Porto celebrated its sixth anniversary at the prestigious Casa da Culmieira restaurant, located in the charming city of Oporto. The event reaffirmed this iconic shop’s commitment to the excellence, tradition, and luxury that define the international franchise network, which now boasts over 160 Casas del Habano worldwide.

The evening, organised by Empor S.A., the exclusive distributor of Habanos in Portugal, brought together clients and friends who, over the past six years, have made this Casa del Habano their go-to space for enjoying the finest Habanos and a carefully curated selection of exclusive products. In addition to special editions available solely through this network, the shop offers a wide range of accessories and beverages that enhance the epicurean experience.

The Managing Director of Empor S.A., Mr Pedro Rocha, together with the Commercial Director, Mr Javier Bosch, welcomed the guests and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the loyalty and support received throughout the journey.

More than forty attendees enjoyed two full-bodied Habanos, both highly prized and appreciated by aficionados: the Bolívar New Gold Medal (48 x 165 mm), exclusive to franchised specialist shops and wrapped 50% in gold foil – launched at the XXIII Habano Festival – and the 2023 Regional Edition for Portugal, the Saint Luis Rey Adamastor (40 x 192 mm), recently introduced to the market.

The event began with a tasting of Ruinart Champagne, the oldest Champagne Maison in the world. Dinner took place in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. To pair with the menu, a carefully selected range of wines was served, including Quinta da Pacheca Reserva Rosé, Reserva Branco, and Grande Reserva Tinto Touriga Nacional.

At the end of the evening, an Anniversary Cake was served, accompanied by a toast with Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2010 Champagne, in honour of the six years of La Casa del Habano – Porto, with best wishes for continued success and prosperity for the entire team. The night concluded with the enjoyment of Habanos paired with the exceptional Ximénez-Spínola Cigars Club Nº2 Brandy.
