The Pacific Cigar Company (PCC), Exclusive Distributor of Habanos for Asia Pacific, inaugurated, last May 8th, 2025, the reopening La Casa del Habano (LCDH) in Kuala Lumpur. It is located in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, in the city center of Kuala Lumpur, becoming the largest La Casa del Habano franchise in the Asia Pacific region.

The opening celebration, which took place on May 8th and 9th, paid tribute to the legacy of the late Dato’ Kadar Shah, founder of the first LCDH Kuala Lumpur in 1998, which marked the beginning of a new era of luxury for premium cigar enthusiasts. Since being managed by PCC in partnership with Kevin Shah since 2016, LCDH has evolved from a cozy 52 m2 space to an impressive 300 m2 store, designed for the delight of all Habano enthusiasts.

The new space features:

• Walk-in Humidor: showcasing Habanos, including special and vintage Habanos editions.
  Three private rooms and a lounge, perfect for VIP gatherings and exclusive tastings.
  • Premium bar, offering a wide selection of curated spirits and cocktails, which can be paired with a Habano.

The ribbon-cutting of opening ceremony was carried out by Mrs. Yadira Ledesma Hernández, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Malaysia; Mr. Dag Holmboe, CEO of PCC; and Mr. Kevin Shah, son of Dato’ Kadar Shah. In addition, guests immersed themselves in the world of Habanos with a 360º video photobooth and enjoyed live music. The event concluded with a prize draw featuring exclusive Habanos collections.

This new LCDH in Kuala Lumpur elevates the franchise concept and contributes to the redefining of Habano culture in this country. A unique experience that no Habano enthusiast should miss.
