A new, second La Casa del Habano on the Canary Islands, Spanin, opened last 30th May. La Casa del Habano Gran Canaria is located in the popular tourist location of Puerto Rico de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas. The new franchise is appreciated for having an extensive walk-in humidor where is offering a full range of premium Habanos cigars, with client lockers and a comfortable sampling area. Alongside is an extensive range of the very best cigar-smoker accessories.

The opening activity gathered around 50 guests among them were part of Dominique London board: Count Christian de Marnix de Sainte  Aldegonde, Mrs. Dominique Gyselinck and Mr. Frédéric Dechamps. From Habanos s.a. participated Mr. Eugenio Otero, President of CubaCigar, the Exclusive Distributor of Habanos in Spain. Mrs. Dominique Gyselinck, Dominique London’s founder, who gave the welcome speech, expressed the significance of this La Casa del Habano: “The Canary Islands have a tradition for fine cigars and we are very proud to open the second La Casa del Habano on the Island. Gran Canaria has long offered draws that attract tourists from all over the world.   We will be delighted to meet the cigar needs of visitors to the island as well as serve the local community.” Frédéric Dechamps, Dominique London’s Chief Executive Officer, was also kind enough to thank Habanos s.a. for giving them the opportunity to open this new franchise, store with a worldwide prestige, he said: “With respect to Gran Canaria, much thanks is due to Habanos S.A. for all of their support  as we seek to service cigar communities throughout Europe and the world over.”

The guests delighted Habanos Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.3 (cepo 54 x 125 mm) a new size for the Cuban cigar portfolio, and it is known in the factory as Originales. This is the thickest vitola in the Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure line, and the first figurado to date. Epicure No.3 is offered in 25-count boxes. Cohiba No.4 was another Habano tasted during the opening activity, with the charm of the Cuban music.
