The Fairmont Montreux Palace hotel was the venue, on 19^th of March 2026, for the inauguration of the first La Casa del Habano franchise in the beautiful Montreux, a city situated on the shores of Lake Geneva. La Casa del Habano Montreux joins the prestigious collection of luxury boutiques dedicated to the world of Habanos in the cities of Basel, Samnaun, St. Gallen, Zug, Zurich (German-speaking Switzerland), Lugano, Mendrisio (Italian-speaking Switzerland), and Geneva and Nyon (French-speaking Switzerland), becoming the tenth Habanos franchise in Switzerland.

The inauguration was honoured by the presence of H.E. the Ambassador of Cuba to the Swiss Confederation, Ms Laura Ivet Pujol Torres; the directors of Intertabak AG, Messrs Tony Hoevenaars and Yannick Goetschy, as well as the principal members of the Monbaron family. Guests enjoyed Habanos Quai d’Orsay No. 52 accompanied by Gin & Tonic.  The event was organized by Intertabak, Exclusive Distributor of Habanos in Switzerland) in collaboration with Montabaco S.A.
