OPENING OF THE HOUSE OF THE HABANO IN PALERMO, BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA

Last Thursday, December 12, 2024 was the official opening of La Casa del Habano Argentina’s second store in the Palermo neighborhood located in Buenos Aires.

With more than 30 years of experience in this country, Blanca and Lucía Alsogaray are broadening the opportunities to attract experts and new smokers closer to the culture of Cuban tobacco, the best in the world.

La Casa del Habano Argentina located in Palermo, at 4325 Gorriti Street, in the city of Buenos Aires, is a 250-square-meter store, divided into the following areas:

  • Spacious reception area with a reception desk and operating facilities.
  • Humidor conditioned precisely for the perfect maintenance of Habanos, with a view to the outside of the premises. Cigar display island in the center of the room.
  • Semi-covered patio, strategically located for optimal air circulation, with a living room for smokers.
  • Main patio, with four sets of living areas for smokers, and decorated with ample greenery.
  • Smoking lounge with a capacity for more than 50 people, with 5 well-defined and independent spaces, a large table for 20 people, a bar with 8 seating places, and an 85-inch audiovisual screen, located in the center of the lounge.

The opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, from noon to midnight, providing excellent access to tourist and local public traffic in the Palermo area.

The opening event was attended by more than 150 people, specially invited for the occasion, from a selection of cigar smokers who are close friends to our house. Among these people were the ambassadors of Cuba in Uruguay Mr. Jorge Martí Martínez and in Argentina Pedro Pablo Prada Quintero; Mr.Jose Miguel Salvador, the owner of La Casa del Habano in Chile and his sister, Mrs. Carolina, master sommelier in Habanos; Mrs. Zoe Nocedo Primo, 2018 Habano Award; Puro Tabaco SA General Manager, Mr. Favio Palazzi and Corporate Manager, Mrs. Yamile Ramirez.

The event featured recreational activities and live music, and of course, participants were treated to a special selection of Habanos chosen for the occasion: Romeo y Julieta Cedros de Luxe, a La Casa del Habano exclusive and Juan López Gran Patagón, a Southern Cone special edition, accompanied by cocktails and premium distilled beverages. Blanca Alsogaray, Habano Award winner in the Business category 2023 and with more than 35 years of presence in the region’s market, thus reaffirms her position as a pioneer and reference for Habanos in this country.
